Kris joined Beard St. Clair Gaffney as a shareholder in 2015. His rapidly developing practice includes both litigation and transactional work. He is experienced in estate planning, business formation and compliance, commercial litigation, and family law. He also serves as city prosecutor for a number of the smaller towns surrounding Idaho Falls.
Kris is a native of Southeastern Idaho. He attended Rick’s College where he received an associate’s degree in political science. He graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in political science from Brigham Young University and attended University of Idaho College of Law. During law school he served as a member of the Honor Court Judiciary, President of the Multicultural Law Caucus, and an associate member of the Idaho Law Review. In his final year of law school he was elected by his peers to serve as the Editor-in-Chief of the Law Review.
In 2006, Kris graduated from law school and was admitted to practice law in Idaho’s state courts and in the United States District Court of Idaho. He is a member of the Idaho State Bar, American Bar Association, and the Eagle Rock Chapter of the American Inns of Court. Kris is an active member of the community. In the interest of professionalism in the practice of law, he recently served as the Secretary/Treasurer of the Eagle Rock Inn of the American Inns of Court. He is a member and former president of the Idaho Falls Civitan Club.
Kris and his wife, Donalee, are proud parents of one son and three daughters. They enjoy fishing, camping, hiking, the arts, and spending time together.
