Brian joined Beard St. Clair Gaffney in 2021, where his practice focuses on intellectual property, with a special focus on patents and trademarks. He is admitted to practice in Idaho, Utah, and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office as a registered patent attorney.
Brian was born and raised in the Rigby, Idaho area. He attended Brigham Young University – Idaho and earned his bachelor’s degree in Biology with a Human Biology emphasis. He then attended the University of Colorado Law School.
After law school, Brian started his legal career in St. George, Utah at an IP boutique law firm, where he was an associate intellectual property attorney. While in St. George, his practice was focused on patent prosecution in mechanical devices, medical devices, welding machinery, water treatment, cosmetic devices, and other areas. Brian’s practice areas include utility patents, design patents, trademarks, and copyrights.
Brian loves everything about Idaho and enjoys spending time in the outdoors with his wife, Vanessa, and their four children.
