Lance J. Schuster

Lance Schuster is a shareholder here at Beard St. Clair Gaffney. He regularly appears in civil and criminal matters in state and federal court. He is licensed in Idaho and Wyoming.

Mr. Schuster has practiced law in Idaho since 1996. He represents businesses and individuals including credit unions, construction companies, contractors, realtors, and title companies. He regularly handles foreclosures, quiet title actions, and property disputes. Mr. Schuster is recognized as a zealous advocate who understands the economics of litigation, thus providing effective and economical representation. His work frequently requires his appearance in federal bankruptcy court to pursue client claims.

Lance Schuster has considerable experience in farming, ranching and agricultural law. He has assisted farmers and ranchers with state and federal regulatory issues, water rights, ditch disputes, boundary disputes, succession planning, and agricultural business decisions. He owns and operates his own farm and ranch near Idaho Falls, Idaho.

Lance Schuster regularly publishes “Law of the Land” articles for the Post Register, Recorder Herald, and Blackfoot Morning News.

  • Successfully quieting title to property on which false liens had been recorded and obtaining judgments for attorney fees and costs against the individual filing the liens.
  • Successfully defending a crop insurance company from a claimant who failed to report purported losses prior to harvesting his crop.
  • Obtained judgment, including attorney fees and costs, for client in property dispute.
  • Successfully represented creditors with the Idaho Bankruptcy Court, and has repeatedly obtained relief from the automatic stay for creditor clients.
